Where Beauty, Heritage, and Purpose Come Together
At AmaSKN, skincare isn’t just something you put on your skin.
It’s a way to honor the rainforest, uplift its people, and reconnect with nature’s wisdom — while giving your skin the calm, strength, and nourishment it deserves.
My name is Rose Correa, and my story starts in a small village in southern Brazil.
I grew up with my godmother, in a home without much — except a backyard overflowing with plants, fruits, and herbs. It was a sanctuary, a medicine cabinet created by nature itself.
Those early years taught me something that never left me:
the Earth already gives us everything we need to care for ourselves.
I just didn’t know then that those early childhood years would become the foundation for AmaSKN.
Two worlds collided — and a purpose came to life.
Years later, while volunteering in San Francisco, I met Shane, who would become my husband and co-founder.
Different backgrounds, different continents — but a shared belief in compassion, community, and service.
Through my struggles with sensitive skin, I began sharing the remedies from my childhood.
Together, we saw an opportunity to create something meaningful:
Skincare that actually works —
and a business that protects the rainforest instead of harming it.
That vision became AmaSKN.
To protect the forest, you must support its people.
The Amazon Rainforest is part of my identity — its rhythms, its abundance, its spirit.
But I also saw its scars:
deforestation, logging, fires, displacement, and exploitation.
I realized one truth:
You can’t protect the forest without empowering its guardians —
and you can’t empower its guardians without keeping the forest standing.
This became the heart of AmaSKN.
